Common questions about Peak Amp.
What Peak Amp does, what it doesn't replace and how to get started.
Does Peak Amp replace our BAS or CMMS?
No. Peak Amp reads data from them and adds risk, priority and next steps. Your BAS still runs the building and your CMMS still manages work orders.
Does Peak Amp control equipment?
No. Peak Amp reads your data and tells your team what needs attention. Your building systems stay in charge of control.
Do we need new sensors?
No. Peak Amp starts with the data you already have. If a gap shows up during the pilot, we'll tell you exactly which added data would help and why.
What if our data is incomplete?
Most facility teams start with gaps. We begin with the asset lists, work orders and invoices you already have, then add sources over time. We can also pull data from PDF reports and invoices, so information locked in documents isn’t lost.
Is this predictive maintenance?
Yes. Peak Amp spots equipment that is starting to behave differently, so your team can act before it fails.
How do you connect to our systems?
We confirm each connection in the first week, using the method your system supports: an API, a scheduled export or approved access.
Which systems do you work with?
Peak Amp is vendor-neutral. We have connected to Automated Logic WebCTRL, Siemens Building X and FMX, along with utility data, vendor invoices and PDF reports. For other systems, we look at what you run during discovery and confirm the connection method before the pilot starts: an API, a scheduled export or approved access.
Can we start with one building or a few sites?
Yes. Most customers start with a pilot on a small group of buildings or sites, then expand.
We run many similar sites. Does that help?
Yes. When sites share the same equipment, Peak Amp compares them to each other and flags the one that's behaving differently.
How is Peak Amp priced?
Annual subscriptions, priced per building or per location for multi-site operators, with discounts for multi-year agreements. Every engagement starts with a scoped pilot.
How soon will we see findings?
Often within the first few days of connecting your data, especially when historical data is available. Findings sharpen over the following weeks as Peak Amp learns how each piece of equipment normally runs.
How much historical data do you need?
None is required to start, but the more history you have, the better. Past trend logs, work orders and invoices let Peak Amp establish what normal looks like for each unit sooner and with more confidence.
What are the contract terms?
Subscriptions are annual, with discounts for multi-year agreements. Pilots are a fixed fee. When a pilot ends, your subscription starts automatically and the pilot fee is credited toward your first year, unless you tell us at least 10 days before the pilot ends that you do not want to continue.
How does our team find out about problems?
New findings appear in your Peak Amp dashboard as they are identified. Every Monday morning, your team also receives an email summarizing what to address that week, ranked by priority.
Does a person review the findings?
Yes. Our team spot-checks findings and the data behind them to make sure they are accurate. Every finding also includes the evidence behind it, so your team can see why it was flagged.
Do you handle personal information?
Peak Amp works with equipment, maintenance, energy and invoice data. We do not handle patient, student or tenant records. The only personal information we hold is the names and work contact details of the people who receive findings and are assigned work, so we can send updates and track who is handling each item.
Does Peak Amp use AI?
Yes. Peak Amp uses statistical baselines and anomaly detection to spot equipment that is drifting from normal, and large language models running on Amazon Bedrock within our AWS environment to summarize findings and draft recommendations. AWS does not use this data to train its own models. We use de-identified, aggregated operational data to improve Peak Amp’s models, so patterns learned in one building help detect problems earlier in others. Your data is never shared with or identifiable to other customers, and customers can opt out of model training.
What support do we get?
Every customer has named business and technical contacts, published support hours and committed response times. See the support commitment on our Implementation page.
Can we finance Peak Amp?
Yes. Technology and project financing is available through Fox Ridge Capital, subject to credit approval. See the financing option on our Pricing page.
Can we buy through AWS Marketplace?
Yes. Eligible customers can buy through AWS Marketplace.
